William Prochazka, 80, of Oberlin passed away on September 12, 2024. He was born in Elyria to Genevieve (Orlowski) and Frank Prochazka. He graduated from Elyria High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Barber before being hired at NASA Lewis Research Center (now NASA Glenn). He retired from NASA in 1997.
He loved being outside mowing the lawn. He loved walking the various dogs (PeeWee, Molly, and Heidi) over the years at the Oberlin Reservoir. He flew model airplanes with the Lorain County Remote Control Club (LCRC). After retirement, he served as the neighborhood handyman.
He leaves behind his wife of 52 years Charlene (Barnard) and his daughter Susan (Steve) Plaskon. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Kelly, and his brother Thomas.
