Vivian Verda (nee Burleson), 78, passed away on May 20, following a lengthy illness. She was born December 8, 1946 in Lorain, Ohio. After finishing high school, she obtained her cosmetology license and specialized in hair, make up application, nails and waxing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Emma Burleson, sister Sharon, brother Gary, son Philip Sean and husband of 53 years, Philip Lee Verda. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Verda, and many nieces and nephews. A mass celebrating her life will be held at 12 noon on Friday, May 30th, 2025 at Sacred Heart chapel in Oberlin, followed by lunch in the Education Building. A private interment ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to any animal charity would be appreciated since Vivian loved our furry friends.
