Sue Ellen Hahn Meyer

Sue Ellen Hahn Meyer 80 formally of Oberlin passed away in Catonsville, Maryland on May 31 2021after a short illness. She was born in Oberlin on December 24 1940. She was a graduate of Oberlin High in 1959 and Oberlin School of Commerce in 1961. Sue worked for the Federal Government for 21 years including the F.A.A. in Cleveland and Oberlin, Wright Paterson AFB, and Nation Weather Service in Cleveland. After retirement she contuinued working for Insurance companies and was a resident manager for apartment complexes. She was a member of First Church in Oberlin where she was a Sunday school teacher, membership committee and visitation committee. Sue was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi and served in several capacities at the chapter level and vice president of city council. She was a member of Tappen Squares square dancing club and enjoyed travel, reading, word search, all puzzles, cross stiching and spending time with family and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Ralph (Stub) and Alice Hahn. She is survived by several cousins and their families.. There will be a private family burial in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Oberlin Heritage Center.
