Steven E. Owens Sr.

Steven E. Owens Sr. 70 left this earthly home peacefully after a brief illness.  Steve was born in Cleveland on April 28 1954 and spent most of his formative years in Oberlin surrounded by family and friends.  He was a 1974 graduate of Elyria High and lived most of his life there.  He worked as an assembler full time for Elyria Plastics until his death.  Steve was an outstanding billards player, enjoyed cooking (grilling being his favorite), was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed watching classic movies, riding in his cadillac and spending time with family and friends.  He is survived by his sons Steven E. Owens Jr. Anthony W. Owens and a daughter Cheryl L. Owens, brothers Robert R. Owens and Charles F. Owens, host of grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents Robert R. Owens and Beatrice M. Owens, sisters Harriet L Owens and Margaret Ann Owens.  There will be a visitation on Tuesday December 3 2024 from 10am until time of services at 11am in the Cowling Funeral Home of Oberlin.
