Ruth Ann Mittler

Ruth Ann Mittler passed away peacefully on Nov 22, with her daughters and granddaughter by her side. Ruth and her husband William owned and operated The Point Tavern in Oberlin for many years. After retiring from the business, Ruth worked for the Oberlin school system for 20 years, where she made many lifelong friends, including Jane Souris. In later years, Ruth enjoyed working in her garden, making quilts, and spoiling her cat. She is survived by her son Mark, daughter Helen Mittler Margocs (Alan), daughter Jean Thompson (Malcolm), and son William. Grandchildren Eva Mittler, Mark Mittler (Tory), Renee Watson (Brad), Chandler Thompson, and great granddaughter Brittany Mittler. She was preceded in death by her husband William, son James, and daughter Karen. Private burial at a later date.
