BACHNIKA, Rudolf Karl (“Rudy”)
November 10, 1931 – October 25, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, Rudy Bachnika, after a short illness. Hard work and love of family defined the life of Rudy Bachnika. He had a life well lived and his memory will be treasured by all who knew him. He is survived by his daughters Linda Romelfanger (Mark), of New London, Karla McDonald (David) of San Antonio,
Texas, and Judy Branscum (Rick) of Elyria, as well as his six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who will never forget the life lessons he taught them.
Born in Cleveland, the family moved to Oberlin when he was child. A butcher, a trade he learned from his father, he worked in the meat department of several large grocery chains in Lorain County. Most recently at Missler’s in Oberlin.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Maxine and his son Paul in addition to his parents, Rudolf and Blanche Bachnika and his brother Ronnie. A private graveside service is planned.
