Robert A. Wohleber

Robert A. Wohleber 92 of Oberlin passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Bob was born in Oberlin on Nov. 14 1924.  He worked as a Maintenance Manager at Oberlin College Physical Plant.  Bob was a member of Sacread Heart Catholic Church of Oberlin & V.F.W. Post #1079 of Elyria.  Bob served in the U.S. Army during WW II.  He enjoyed recreational gambling, travel, gardening, reading, being a handyman, avid Cleveland sports fan & enjoyed spending time with family & friends.  He is survived by his Daughter Donna J. (Frank) Stranges of Niagra Falls, N.Y. 2 Granddaughters Julia & Jenna Stranges of Niagra Falls N.Y. He was preceded in death by his Wife Irene Wohleber, parents Matthias & Rosena Wohleber, brother Harold & sister Emma Kinzel.  There will be a visitation on Sunday February 19 2017 from 3-6pm at the Cowling Funeral Home of Oberlin & services will be Monday February 20 2017 at 11am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oberlin with Father David Trask officiating. Burial in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Wakeman, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  The family would like to thank Dr. Geogia Newman, Kendal at Home & Visiting Angels for all there help during this difficult time.
