Robert L. Tallhamer

Robert L. Tallhamer 82 of Oberlin passed away at Welcome Nursing Home on May 23 2023.  He was born in Gilmer Co. West Virginia on August 6 1940.  Robert worked at Ford for 30 years retiring in 1997.  He enjoyed cutting fire wood, hunting, watching western movies and gardening.  He is survived by his son Robert L. (Gail) Tallhamer, 2 step sons Clarence(Loretta) Kilzer and Kevin (Mona) Kilzer, step daughter Violet Johnson, 2 granddaughters  and 3 grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard & Dollie Tallhamer, wife Mildred Tallhamer, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.  There will be a visitation on Tuesday May 30 2023 from 6-8pm at the Cowling Funeral Home in Oberlin.  Services will be Wednesday May 31 2023 at 11am in the funeral home.  Burial to follow in New Russia Twp.
