Robert L. Hughes Jr.

Robert "Rob" Hughes, 33, and Oberlin native and Oberlin High 2006 graduate, was born on March 18, 1988 and passed away on April 20, 2021. Robert traveled between Ohio and Virginia working on various jobs and making many friends along the way. He had a huge heart and a beautiful soul - he was the life of the party. He enjoyed singing, telling jokes, laughing and being surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his older sisters, Domonique Daniels of Oberlin and Jocelyn Elysee of Baltimore, and hosts of cousins, uncles and aunts. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lea Marie Daniels, his great aunt Julie Mae Alston and grandmother, Augustine Johnson. Robert was cremated and will be buried at Oberlin Cemetery. There will be a private family ceremony to honor his life.
