Richard “Dick” J. Rybarczyk, 92, of New Russia Township, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, surrounded by family.
A lifelong resident of New Russia Township. Dick built his family home with his late wife of 58 years, Alice M. Zaborniak (deceased 2020), where they raised four children.
A 1950 graduate of Lorain High School, Dick was a standout basketball player. He continued his athletic career at Findlay College, lettering in football and basketball, and was later inducted into both the University of Findlay and Lorain Sports Halls of Fame.
Dick retired from TRW after 32 years, serving as Plant Manager of the Nelson Division. He was a very active parishioner in his church and loved being in his yard and playing golf with friends.
He is survived by his children: Laura Shrimplin (Dick), Keith Rybarczyk, Cindy Rybarczyk, and Dawn Bozzolo (Hernán); grandchildren: Austin and Lauren Shrimplin, Ryan Rybarczyk, and Julian, Lucas, and Casimir Bozzolo; and grandpups Grace and Kaya. He is also survived by siblings Joan “Dolly” Zemanek, Elaine Chambers, and Ronald Rybarczyk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Rybarczyk; sister Mary Ann Milde; and brother John “Jack” Rybarczyk.
There will be a Memorial Service at New Russia Twp. Cemetery on Saturday May 24th at 10am 12528 Oberlin Rd. Oberlin, Ohio 44074. Following the service family and friends are welcome to stay for coffee and sweets.
