Myrna L. Smith

Myrna L. Smith 81 of Oberlin passed away at home unexpectedly on May 1 2019.  She was born in Cadiz, Ohio on July 8 1937.  She worked as a receptionist at NACS in Oberlin for 25 years retiring in 2005.  Myrna was a member of Rust United Methodist Church of Oberlin, women's group and sang in the choir.  She also volunteered at the Oberlin Senior Center and enjoyed dancing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.  She is survived by 2 daughters L. Denise (Anthony) Cash Augusta, Ga, Teresa A Smith Oberlin, 2 sons Henry A (Laila) Smith Jr. Oberlin, James E. (Veronica) Smith Cordova, Tenn., 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 brother Allen J. (Patsy) Morton.   She was preceded in death by her parents Allen and Anna Morton, husband Henry A. Smith Sr., daughter Juanita L. Smith.  Visitation will be Wednesday May 8 2019 from 10am until time of services at 11am at Rust United Methodist Church of Oberlin with Pastor Stanley Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Westwood Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.cowlingfuneralhomeoh.com
