Melvin A. Lawrie 95 of Oberlin passed away at Welcome Nursing Home on November 6 2025. He was born in Oberlin on June 7 1930. Melvin was a graduate of High School and then served in The United States Air Force. Melvin was a dairy and crop farmer while working as a clerk for the Ohio turnpike for 35 years. He also sold Amway for many years as well. He was a member of the camera club and also Oberlin Grange. Melvin enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.. He is survived by his 2 sons Gene (Chris) Lawrie and Jeffery (Cheryl) Lawrie, 3 grandsons Michael, Andrew and Jacob Lawrie. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Hilda Lawrie and his beloved wife Wanda Lawrie. There will be a graveside service in Westwood Cemetery on Friday at 11am with Rev.
