Maxine Bartholomew Obituary

FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
Maxine M. Bartholomew
DECEMBER 16, 1933 - MAY 28, 2025
With heavy hearts and treasured memories, we gather to celebrate the extraordinary life of Maxine M. Bartholomew, who was born on December 16, 1933, in the quaint town of Wilsie, West Virginia, to Leslie and Ineva Bollinger. A true force of nature and a source of unwavering love, Maxine enriched our lives until her passing, leaving behind a legacy filled with the warmth of family, the joy of friendship, and the brilliance of her indomitable spirit.

Maxine's professional journey was as dynamic as her personality. She led the bookkeeping department at Oberlin Savings Bank with grace and precision, managed the bustling operations of WLRO and WOBL, and skillfully navigated the real estate landscape as a leasing agent for multiple properties in the Columbus
area.

Her talent and dedication earned her the respect and admiration of all those who worked alongside her.
Beyond her career, Maxine was a true enthusiast of life. She reveled in the thrill of the casinos, cheered passionately with her beloved husband watching their favorite sports teams, and found her greatest joy in the company of family. Her grandkids were the apples of her eye, eagerly soaking up her invaluable life lessons and indulging in her legendary Christmas cookies, which will forever remain a beloved tradition.

Maxine's heart was intertwined with that of her beloved husband, Donald Bartholomew, who preceded her in death in 2017 after 62 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they crafted a beautiful love story that inspired everyone around them. She was also preceded by her brothers Kenton, Eugene, Jack, Lowell, Donald, James, and John, and her sister Eileen Brossman, each leaving a void that can never be filled.

She is survived by her devoted daughter Debra (Michael) Youngless and her loving son Allen (Kimberly) Bartholomew. Maxine's legacy lives on through her adoring grandchildren: Jennifer (Robert) Novak, Eric (Crystal) Youngless, and Mardi (Chuck) Fultz, and her precious great-grandchildren: Natalie, Morgan, Kendall, Tessa, Tyler, Caiden, and Caroline. She also leaves behind her cherished brother Robert (Velma) Bollinger and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry her spirit forward. Maxine M. Bartholomew was a radiant light in our lives, a woman of strength, laughter, and boundless love. Her joyous spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched, reminding us to embrace life's adventures and treasure every moment spent with family. Although she has left this earthly realm, her legacy of love will continue to illuminate our paths. Rest in peace, dear Maxine; you will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
