Mary Frances (Frampie) Ailey

Mary Frances(Frampie)Ailey died peacefully Jan.20, 2017 in Oberlin, OH at the age of 96.
She was born in Cleveland,OH the daughter of Edna and Calvin J. Hinds. They moved to Hudson
where she graduated from Hudson High, and then attended Fairview Park School of Nursing. After
graduation she worked with the American Red Cross Blood Bank during WWII. In 1945 she married
Dr. Arthur B. Shaul, and moved to Ashtabula where they raised their 3 children.
During this time she was active in several endeavers: cub scout leader, PTA, American Field Service
Student Exchange Program, PEO, Ashtabula Co. Medical Auxiliary, garden club and church.
Hobbies included gardening, flower arranging, bridge, golf and travel.
After her divorce she was employed for 8 years as an interior designer. In 1982 she married
Robert J. Ailey. They enjoyed all kinds of dancing and travel. In 1993 they moved to Kendal
at Oberlin. He died in 2001.
She is survived by her son Dr. William Shaul (Carolyn), Martha Seferian (John),
Eileen Beekman, step-son Jack Ailey (Sarah), Evelyn Hahn, (Duane).
Grandchildren T.J. and Cody Shaul, Matthew and Kate Seferian, and step-grandchildren Joe and
Cynthia Ailey and Lynn and Susan Hahn, and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Kendal at Oberlin on Monday, Feb.20th at 10:00 AM. Memorial
contributions may be made to Macular Degeneration research, or the American Red Cross.
