Lenolia Young

Lenolia Young 99 of Oberlin passed away February 3 2019 at Mercy Lorain Hospital.  She was born November 14 1919 in Gay, Georgia.  She worked as a cook for Oberlin College and Oberlin Head Start for many years.  Lenolia was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Oberlin and enjoyed traveling, gardening, watching the Cleveland Indians, her dogs and cats and spending time with her family.  She is survived by her children John (Betty Jean) Reeves,  Anna Pettit, Lucy Jo Graham, Robert (Sylvia) Young and Linda Gilmore, brother Russell Gates, 24 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Mary Gates Sr., Husband Robert C. Young, son Russell Reeves and brothers Luther, Rufus and John.  Visitation will be Monday February 11 2019 from 10am until time of services at 11am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Oberlin with Rev.
