Kathryn L. Sharp

Kathryn L. Sharp 95 of Kipton, Ohio passed away on October 31 2025 at New Life Hospice. She was born December 8 1929 in Edon, Ohio.  She was a graduate of Camden High School in 1941 and from Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in 1950.  Kathryn worked as a nurse for Elyria Memorial Hospital, Amherst Hospital  and for Dr. Cooley for many years.  She was a volunteer manager of Allen Hospital gift shop for 20 years and volunteered at Oberlin Senior Center.  Kathryn was a member of the Kipton Community Church and Wakeman Eagles Club.  Kathryn is survived by her daughter Linda (Arthur) Brenner, son James (Dee) Sharp, 3 grandchildren Kris Baughman, Dennis Brenner and Vicky Difrancesco, 4 great grandchildren Kailey, Paisley, Brinnley Difrancesco and Jayme Jones, sister Carolyn Husted and brother Charles Allomong.  Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Cleon Sharp and her parents Dean and Lucille Allomong.  There will be a visitation on Wednesday November 5 2025 from 5pm to 7pm at the Cowling Funeral Home of Oberlin, with services on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Lee Stull and Rev. Charles Livermore officiating. Burial will be in Camden Cemetery.
