John Henry Monger

John came to Oberlin at the age of 10 & attended Oberlin Public Schools. John enjoyed reading the bible & his favorite childhood pastime was riding his bicycle from Oberlin to Elyria & Lorain with his freinds.  He also enjoyed eating out, listening to music, dancing & spending time with family & friends.  John always enjoyed walking & acquired the nickname "Walking John" cuase he walked everywhere.  John was kind hearted & gentle in nature & had a heart of gold.  John is survived by 2 Sisters Dorothy Monger of Lorain, Donna (Johnny) Cash of Elyria, Brother Mark Monger of Cleveland, his Aunt Katherine (L.H.) Donald of Oberlin, 2 neices & a host of cousins & friends.  He was preceded in death by his Mother Augusta Monger, Grandmother Alice Monger affectionately know as "Mama" cuase she raised John at an early age, & nephew Christopher Monger.  There will be a graveside service in Westwood Cemetery Tuesday December 22 2015 at 11am.  Online condolences may be made to www.cowlingfuneralhomeoh.com
