John F. Maroney Jr.

John Franklin Maroney Jr. passed peacefully at his home Saturday July 27 after a long battle with cancer. He was preceeded in death by his father John Franklin Maroney Sr. Survived by his mother Sharon Substanley, his sister Laura Crouch, daughter Jessica Maroney and son John Patrick Maroney. Was a lifelong resident of Amherst, Ohio, frequenting many of the establishments downtown. He was self employed as a flooring layer. He was a character to say the least, was always making jokes and entertaining the room. He was a motocross, and drag racing enthusiast. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the APL.
