Jim and I spoke at times on the practice range at Oberlin Golf Club. He talked about his family. I knew of his illness; but was surprised and saddened to hear of his passing. I was out of town and unable to attend the viewing. My sympathies to the family.

I, Bill Wallets, joined Oberlin Country club because of my golfing buddy Jim. Enjoyed all the years at Oberlin, playing with Jim. Remember a special time going to Black Diamond Country Club in Amish country. Stayed overnight with our wives and enjoyed a cook out with great Amish food. Our hearts go out to the family during this heartbreaking time. May you find the strength knowing that our love surrounds you.

I was a classmate of Jim's at Durand Schools. He was a much admired young man and a favorite of his classmates. I also knew Bob and Carol, his brother and sister and attended the wake of his little brother, Mike. Jim attended our class reunions even though he did not graduate with us. We were happy to meet Teri. Please know that the class extends very deep condolences for this world's loss.

I knew Jim for 40 years; on the business side of life at Nordson Corp., and the social side through the Amherst softball league, and most recently as a fellow club member at Oberlin Golf Club. I enjoyed our many competitions, (teachable moments as well :)) and the friendship through the years. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I am sorry for your loss and your family will be in my prayers. I was a young golfer with a dream when I met Jim at Oberlin Golf Club. He was one of the top golfers that allowed me to play skins game with them. I contributed a lot of my success to playing in those "competitions" He was an encouragement to me as I pursued the LPGA tour.I have very fond memories of him.
