Jesse J. Edwards

Jesse J. Edwards 92 of Elyria passed away April 26 2018 at Oniel Health Care in North Ridgeville, Ohio.  He was born July 25 1925 in Whitfield, Alabama & worked in Construction throughout his adult life. Jesse served in the Navy during WW II  and was a member of the American Legion of Oberlin.   Jesse was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Oberlin and served as an usher in the church.  He enjoyed cooking, playing pinochle, watching Indians baseball games and fishing.  He is survived by his 2 daughters Dorothy A. Edwards of Elyria, Jessica L. Edwards of Galloway, Ohio, 3 sons Larry Edwards of Oberlin, Anthony W. Edwards of Suffolk, Virg., Thomas J. Edwards of Stone Mountain, Ga., 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren & 4 Great Great Grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife Eunice T. Edwards, parents Willie & Betty Edwards Sr., Son Ronald P. Edwards, 2 brothers Willie Edwards Jr. & Allen Chaney & a sister Dorothy D. Sadler.  Visitation will be Wednesday May 2 2018 from 10am until time of services at 11am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Oberlin with Rev. Fred L. Bell officiating.
