James E. Digby Jr.

James E. Digby Jr. 86 of Oberlin passed away on January 2 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 6 1937.  James worked as a claims adjuster for many years and also as a greeter at the Oberlin Walmart for 13 years.  He was a faithful member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Oberlin and was a Sunday school teacher and was an Elder of the church.  He enjoyed basketball and gardening.  James is survived by his wife Juanita Digby, daughter Robin Jones, 2 sons Brian Sr. and Martin Digby, 4 grandchildren Brian Digby Jr., Cassandra Digby, Emanuel Biera III and Mario Biera, 3 great grandchildren Brianna, Kamiya and Emanuel IV.  James was preceded in death by his parents James Digby Sr., mother Leona Digby, granddaughter Carmin Digby and a sister Linda Smith.  There will be a visitation on Wednesday January 10 2024 from 10am until time of services at 11am at Christian Missionary Alliance Church with Pastor Lester Allen officiating.  Private family burial will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be made to www.cowlingfuneralhomeoh.com
