Jacob "Jake" Luikart

Jake 95 passed away on December 5 2016 at Elms Nursing home in Wellington.  
Jake lived all his life in the same house in Pittsfield Twp. that he was born
in.  He worked as a driver of Petroleum for Landmark in
Elyria for 30 years ret. in 1984.  Jake also worked as a
Grain & Dairy Farmer for his father and with his brother for
many years.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of
Oberlin and the Lorain County Farm Bureau.  He enjoyed
hunting and gardening.  He is survived by his adopted daughter Diane Luikart, caregiver & niece Kathy Burrer, several other nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death  by his parents Jacob & Katherine Luikart, 2 sisters Katherine Jordan & Margaret Lang, 2 brothers Charles & Louis Luikart.  Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Oberlin Thursday December 8 2016  with visitation from 10am until services at 11am with Pastor Josh Moldenhauer officiating. There will be a private burial in Pittsfield Twp. cemetery at a later date. In luie of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church of Oberlin.
