Harriet Alice Cornish

Alice Cornish, 75, of Oberlin, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2023 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.

Alice’s greatest joys were her family and serving the Lord and others at church alongside Jerry, her loving husband of 57 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Zelma Weakley; two brothers, Marvin and Chester Weakley; and a grandson, Joseph Cornish.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; three sons, Paul (Julie) Cornish, Timothy (Rebekah) Cornish, and Jacob (Jamaica) Cornish; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; six siblings, Helen Holderman, Clifton (Carolyn) Weakley, Donald (Mary Ann) Weakley, Wanda (David) Jones, Emma Sue (Steve) Bouquet; and 17 nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. and then the funeral at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church, 414 S. Main St., Oberlin. Pastor Brian Kenyon will be officiating. Burial will follow in East Pittsfield Cemetery.
