Glenetta Hill Obituary

Glenetta Hill, age 78, of Oberlin Ohio passed away on March 30, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.  Glenetta was born on August 17, 1942 in Byhalia Mississippi to Mansuel Lee Townsel and Bertha N. Townsel.  She was the third born of four children and the only girl.  After graduating from Oberlin Senior High school she married Paul E. Hill, moved to Elyria and studied nursing where she became an L.P.N.  She had two children with Paul, Tracie and Cinque Hill.

Glenetta was preceded in death by her brother Rubin and parents, Mansuel and Bertha Townsel.

Glenetta is survived by Children:  Tracie D. Taylor and Cinque L. Hill

Grandchildren:  Jasmine Lene Hill

                        Cameron Marshawn Taylor

                        Aiyana Grace Taylor

                        Jonathan Cecil Hill

many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Glenetta loved to quilt, cook and crochet.  You could find fabric, yarn and magazines in every room of her home.  She loved caring for people and quit her job nursing to look after her mother in her final days.   She was an active and involved grandmother, and rarely missed attending a birthday celebration, recital, competition, or graduation celebration.

During her retirement Glenetta began to attend the senior center in hopes of attending some quilting classes.  She ended up taking weaving classes where she learned you are never too old to make new friends.  These new friendships she made meant a lot to her and gave her family comfort.  She spoke highly of the women and looked forward to her Wednesday sessions.

Glenetta loved the Lord, reading her bible and was a long-standing member of Rust Methodist church.  She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
