George Yakunovich Obituary

George H. Yakunovich 80 of Oberlin passed away suddenly at his home on December 8 2019.  He was born in Kipton, Ohio on February 9 1939.  He worked for Ford Motor Company in Lorain for 40 years retiring in 2005.  George was the founding member of the Kipton sportsman club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  George is survived by his loving wife Sarah Yakunovich of Oberlin, 3 daughters Marlene (Scott Allgauer) Yakunovich of Wakeman, Joanie (David) Zimmer of Broadview Heights, and Carrie (Robert Battle) Masters of Falcon, Colorado, 4 grandchildren Emma, Jonathan, Mikaela and Sabastian, sister Irene Tokas, 2 brothers Bill and John Yakunovich.  He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Yakunovich, 2 brothers Steve and Joe Yakunovich and a sister Helen Harr.  There will be a private family graveside service in Camden Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.cowlingfuneralhomeoh.com
