Ethel Mae Gordon

Ethel Mae Gordon passed away at her home in Wakeman surrounded by her loving family on December 16 2023.  She was born in Beatrice W.V. on April 11 1930.  Ethel was a member of Congregational Church of Wakeman and enjoyed canning vegetables, embroidering, gardening watching baseball and spending time with her family.  She is survived by her daughter Stella Looney, 2 sons Paul Stanley Jr. and Steven Stanley, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents Al and Pauline Johnson, her first husband Paul Stanley Sr, and 2nd husband Lawrence Gordon, brother Thomas Johnson and a sister Lucille McDaniel.  There will be a visitation on Thursday December 21 2023 from 3pm until services at 5pm with Ray Smith officiating at Cowling Funeral Home of Oberlin..  Private family burial will take place on Friday December 22 2023 in Nutter Cemetery in Wirt County West Virginia.  Online condolences may be made to www.cowlingfuneralhomeoh.com
