Ellen W. Holt

Ellen W. Holt 87 of Oberlin passed away on August 27 2024 at Welcome Nursing Home.  Ellen was born in Myrtlewood, Alabama on October 23 1936.  She worked at Kendal of Oberlin for many years retiring in 2014.  Ellen was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Oberlin and served on the Kitchen Condolence Committee.  She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family.  Ellen is survived by her 2 daughters Audrey Holt and Lue Steller Holt, 2 sons Charles (Willia) Holt and Arthur (Glory) Holt, 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents Levi and Henrhetta Witherspoon, son Kenneth Holt and 3 brothers and 1 sister.  There will be a visitation on September 4 2024 from 10am until time of services at 11am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Oberlin with Rev. Fred Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin.  Online condolences may be made to www.cowlingfuneralhomeoh.com
