Deforest Vince Garfield 76 of Wellington passed away in Warrensville Heights at Regency East Hospital on March 26 2020. Vince was born in Jamestown, N.Y. on May 24 1943. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as a air traffic controller for the F.A.A. in Oberlin for many years and also worked at Harrison Ford in Wellington as a sales and finance manager. Vince was a member of First Methodist Church of Wellington, Wellington Eagles #2051, American Legion #8, Snow Angels Snowmobile Club. Vince enjoyed golf, bowling, motor cross and playing cards with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn Garfield, 2 sons Scott (Kara) Garfield and Todd Garfield, grandchildren Alexis, Clay, Joslyn, Cierra and Trevor, great grandchildren Braylin, Tycen, Avalynn, Wesson and Kimber, 1 brother Donald (Mary Lou) Garfield. He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn & Dorothy Garfield and a sister Dorothy Perry. There will be a private family burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Wellington with Pastor Paul Wilson officiating.
