Cyril B. Dixon Sr.

Cyril Bernard Dixon Sr. 68  went home to be with the lord on August 8 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain.  He was born April 15 1957 in Oberlin.  He graduated from Oberlin High School class of 1975.  He attended Morris Brown & Central State University.  He retried from Nordson Corp and in his earlier years enjoyed playing football, basketball and wrestling.  Cyril enjoyed being with family and friends, cooking, chess and was an avid gardner and teaching his grandchildren how to live and survive.   Left to mourn his death but to celebrate his life is his parents William and Ada Dixon, his wife of 40 years Yvonne Dixon, 2 daughters Andria and Amber Dixon, son Cyril B. Dixon Jr., 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, sister Natalie Dixon-Burley (Randy), brother Ivan Dixon and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Luereacie Holloway.  There will be a visitation on Monday August 18 2025 from 10am until time of services at 11am at the Cowling Funeral Home in Oberlin.  Burial will be held in Westwood Cemetery at a later date.
