Candace Elizabeth Hoover

Candace Elizabeth Hoover passed away on November 5, 2018 in Rocky Mount, N.C She was born on April 26,1948 in Lakewood before her family moved to Oberlin in 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. George and Bobbie Hoover and her younger brother Brett. She is survived by a brother Dr. Doug Hoover and sisters Andrea Hodge and Robin Shaffer and many nieces and nephews.
Candy was a 1966 OHS grad and an Ohio State alumna. She worked for various companies in the Pacific Northwest and San Jose, CA before settling in Denver where she was an interior designer specializing in kitchens. She retired to Rocky Mount N.C. and was renovating an older home there. She was an avid dog lover and rescued several greyhounds and Irish wolfhounds. Graveside services for the family and close friends will be on November 23 followed by interment with her parents in Westwood Cemetary.
