Andrew Gerald Bahl, 44, of Elyria, passed away on September 2, 2023 in Cleveland after a short illness.
Andy was born on August 12, 1979 in Oberlin, OH. He graduated from Oberlin High School in 1998. After high school he served in the United States Navy. Since graduating from ITT Technical Institute in 2005, Andy worked proudly for the last 18 years at Norlake Manufacturing Company in Elyria, as a drafting engineer. He was a member and Past Master of the Oberlin Masonic Lodge 380 F & AM.
He was a comic book enthusiast and enjoyed all kinds of music and sports. He loved to debate, loved history and current events. He enjoyed the outdoors and walking trails and recently started to enjoy cooking and trying new recipes. He had an affection for cats, currently having two rescue cats. He was a friend to all.
Andy is preceded in death by his mother, Jane E. and survived by his father, Kenneth G. (Rose) of Elyria, sister, Amy Lajack (Chris) of Lakewood, stepsister, Jeannie Beitel (Rick Frame) of Wellington, niece, Emily Lajack, and nephews, Ethan and Jason Beitel as well as uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
A Memorial Service to be held at First United Methodist Church in Oberlin on September 22 at 11 AM. A future private burial service will be held at Oberlin’s Westwood Cemetery.
