Amy Webber Obituary

Amy Sue Webber (Burgett) passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the age of 71.  She was born to Patricia and Jack Burgett, and raised with seven siblings to know the gift that family represents. She graduated from Oberlin High School.  She married the love of her life, Ron Webber, on June 15, 1974, and they recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.  Upon marriage, she welcomed her stepsons, Mark, Mike and Rick Webber. Ron and Amy also welcomed with love a daughter, Heidi, and son, Nick.

Amy was a homemaker, floral designer for several local florists and retired as a monitor for Oberlin City Schools. Amy enjoyed camping with her family, painting, her flower gardens, Motown, playing games of all kinds and was a natural hostess that could make a celebration out of anything. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she embodied the Christmas spirit all year long. She loved children, and her time with those in her own family as well as those in the community that she worked with through the schools. She was a devoted grandmother that cherished her time with each of her grandchildren, supporting them in all they did. She had a servant's heart, and gave to her family, friends and community in myriad ways.  She was confident of her eternal home, and was welcomed into her Savior's arms as she passed from this life. She will be missed beyond measure, but will be carried on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings David Burgett, Dawn Lebanik and Steve Burgett; a step-son Richard Webber, grandson Richard Webber and several grandchildren that were held in our hearts, but never in our arms.  She is survived by her loving husband, Ron; step-sons Mark (Sue) & Mike (Alice) Webber; children Heidi (Bryan) Chambers and Nick (Felicia) Webber; siblings John (Ruth) Burgett, Candy (Ron) Martin, Cynthia Burgett, Margie (Richard) Lisle; beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private burial service. A celebration of life is planned for Thursday, July 10th from 3-7pm with a memorial service at 5pm at the New Russia Township Lodge in Cedar East located at 46300 Butternut Ridge Road.  Amy loved all things Americana. The family requests that attendees wear something red, white or blue in her honor.  Memorial contributions will be used towards a bench on the playground at Oberlin Elementary School in her memory.
