Allan Gordon Peck passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the age of 86.
He was born the oldest of 3 children to Carrie Luberda Peck and Ralph Peck in Indian Orchard, a neighborhood of Springfield, Massachusetts, on February 27, 1940. He graduated from Westfield State College and Rutgers University, married Nancy Buck in 1968, and became a high school math teacher in Springfield, Massachusetts. He later taught computer programming at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC).
Allan was a devout Catholic; active in his teachers' union; enthusiastic vegetable gardener; and in his retirement, an altar server and 15 year volunteer AARP tax preparer. After many years of visiting from Wilbraham, Massachusetts, Allan and Nancy moved to Oberlin, Ohio in 2023.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Nancy Peck of Oberlin; only child, Kathy (Mico) Perales of Oberlin and grandchildren, Alice, Sandra and Alexander Perales; sister, Joyce Moran of California.
Preceding him in in death were his parents, Carrie and Ralph Peck; sister, Elaine Wall.
Funeral Mass will be officiated by Father David Trask at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin, on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. Calling hours will be held at the First Church in Oberlin, on Monday, June 1, 2026 from 3:30 until 6 p.m.
