Shirley C. Williams

Shirley C. Williams 87 of Oberlin passed away unexpectedly at home on January 12 2018.  Shirley worked at Oberlin College's Mudd Library in the Circulation Dept..  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church serving on the quilt guild and attending bible study.  She was also a member of A.A.R.P. & attended yoga classes. Shirley enjoyed reading, quilting, travel, cooking & gardening.  She is survived by her daughters Sharon (Bill) Patmon of Cleveland, Linda Williams of Richmond Hts., son Rick (Kristie) Williams Jr. of Cincinnati, 4 Grandchildren & 4 Great Grandchildren, 2 brothers Luther (Wylene) Counts Jr. of Austintown, Ohio & Clyde (Suzanne) Counts of Germantown, Tenn. Shirley was preceded in  death by her parents Luther & Madeline Counts Sr., Husband Richard Williams & a sister Marilyn Taylor.  There will be a visitation on Wednesday January 17 2018 from 4-6pm  at the Cowling Funeral Home in Oberlin. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin with Father Robert Cole officiating. Burial will follow in New Russia Twp. Cemetery.
