Paul M. Squires

Paul M. Squires 92 of Oberlin passed away at Welcome Nursing Home on May 28 2018.  He was born in Oberlin on May 22 1926.  Paul served in the US Army during WW II.  He worked as a Millwright for General Motors for 30 years retiring in 1977.  Paul enjoyed being a farmer full time on the family farm.  He was a founding member of the Stardusters Dance Club and enjoyed playing pinochle with friends.  Paul is survived by his son Tom (Mary) Squires of Oberlin, daughter Janice (Ken) Bornstein from Columbia, Md., 6 Grandchildren & 8 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Edna Squires Jr., wife Irene Squires, son Ted Squires, Great Grandson Tyler Squires and a sister Gertrude Pierce.  There will be a visitation Monday June 4 2018 from 10am until services at 11am at the Cowling Funeral Home in Oberlin, with Pastor Brian Kenyon officiating.  Burial will follow in Westwood Cemetery with military honors being conducted by VFW Post #1079 of Elyria.
