Margaret M. (George) Brewster

Margaret M. Brewster (nee George), 90, of Oberlin, passed away on Feb. 17, 2017, at Welcome Nursing Home.

     Born on Sept. 17, 1926, in Watertown, NY, she moved to the Oberlin area with her husband, Henry, in the late 1940’s.

     Margaret was employed by and retired from Ciba Corning in Oberlin.

     A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin, she joined the Altar

and Rosary Society and also belonged to the Oberlin Farm Women’s Club.

     Finding joy in gardening and cooking, her greatest passion remained her

steadfast devotion to family.

     She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Henry C. Brewster; 

her parents, James and Mabel George; siblings, James, Gloria, and Wilfred George; grandson, Scott Brewster; granddaughter, Tay Leonhardt (nee Brewster).

     Margaret is survived by her children, Charles Brewster (Linda), Lawrence 

Brewster (Denise), Vicki Campbell (Alan); grandchildren, Kristy Brewster, Terra Beckman (Omar), Jason Campbell; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

     Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Fri., March 10, 2017, at 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church in Oberlin, followed by burial at Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin
