Madge Green Obituary

Madge C. Green 90 of Oberlin passed away at Mercy Regional Hospital in Lorain on April 4 2018 after a short illness .  She was born in Widen, W.V. October 31 1927. Madge was a member of Birmingham United Methodist Church, Wellington Writers Group and the Prayer Shawl Assc.. She enjoyed quilting & writing having written and authord a book called "Memoirs  Mountain Girl" . She also enjoyed equestrian riding having received a ribbon for a 25 mile trail ride.  Madge is survived by her 4 daughters Renetta Rimbert, Marilyn Pachuta, Zanna Capers, Cheryl McCourt and 2 sons Roger Green & Randy Green, 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, 3 sisters Lydia Oates, Mary Lowery, Barbara Anderson and a brother David Carter.  She was preceded in death by her parents Gus & Zannie Carter, husband Clay Green, daughter Karen Green, son Terry Green, granddaughter Marcie Green and 2 sister and 3 brothers.  Visitation will be Monday April 9 2018 from 6-8pm at the Cowling Funeral Home in Oberlin. Services will be Tuesday April 10 at 10am at Resthaven Memorial Gardens cemetery in the chapel with Pastor Richard Kretchmar officiating.  Online condolences may be made to www.cowlingfuneralhomeoh.com
