Kathleen Robinson

Kathleen (Katie) Robinson, 87, passed away March 23, 2017 at St. John Medical Center. She was born November 14, 1929 in Amherst, Ohio. She graduated from Amherst High School in 1947, from Oberlin School of Commerce in 1948 and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Dyke College in 1980. Katie retired from an HR Management role at the Ford Motor Company in 1985. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, bike riding, taking walks, and spending time with her granddaughters and great granddaughters. She was a member of Oberlin Sacred Heart Church, Altar & Rosary Society, Oberlin Seniors, AARP, American Legion Auxiliary Post 118 in Amherst Ohio, and a Auxiliary member of VFW Post 1079 in Elyria, Ohio. Survivors include her sisters Germaine McDonough, and Elaine Aerni, sons Jim (Sharon) Robinson, Craig Robinson, daughter Lynn Kovach, granddaughters Erica (Jacob) Drost, Paula (Zach) Baas, and great granddaughters Leah and Hannah Drost. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Robinson, parents Martin and Erma Niesen, and her brother John Niesen. Memorials may be made to the Parish Capital Expense Fund of Sacred Heart Church, 410 West Lorain, Oberlin, OH 44074.

A funeral memorial mass will be held Monday, March 27, 2017, 10:00 A.M at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 410 West Lorain, Oberlin, OH 44074. Father Robert Cole as the Celebrant.
