Elizabeth York

Elizabeth J. York, age 59, of Oberlin, Oh and formerly of McComb, Oh, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Mercy Allen Hospital, Oberlin, Oh. She was born on January 4, 1958, in Findlay, Oh, to the late Bertram and Helen (Smith) York.
Elizabeth is survived by a son, Peter Tschaekofske of Elyria, Oh; and a brother, Donald (Lori) York of Findlay, Oh. She is also survived by two nephews, Matthew York and Chad York, and one niece, Leslie York, all of Findlay, Oh. She adored her great nephew, Cowan James York. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Elizabeth.

Elizabeth was a high school teacher for Castle Community School in Parma, Oh. She loved the children she taught and had a passion for her profession. She will be missed by many.
A christian service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in McComb, Oh on Friday, October 6th at 4:00 pm. Pastor Ralph Mineo will officiate.
