Anna Elizabeth Pettit

Anna Elizabeth Pettit 81 of Oberlin passed away at Welcome Nursing Home February 26 2019.  She was born in Luthersville, Georgia on May 27 1937.  She worked as a cook in the penal system in California and Washington for many years.  Anna was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Oberlin and enjoyed cooking, travel and reading.  She is survived by her 5 sons Carl L., Bruce A., Dennis M., Christopher and Duncan E. Reeves, 7 grandchildren, 2 brothers Robert Young and John Reeves, 2 sisters Lucy Jo Graham and Linda Gilmore.  She was preceded in death by her parents John Henry Reeves and Lenolia Young, husband Huston Pettit, grandson Souvix Reeves and brother Russell Reeves.  There will be a visitation from 10am until time of services at 11am on Monday March 4 2019 at Cowling Funeral Home Inc. of Oberlin.  Burial will follow in Westwood Cemetery.
