Allen Lee Wollenslegel, 72, of LaGrange, Ohio passed away suddenly at his home on April 10th, 2024. Allen was born on May 5th, 1951, to Howard and Peggy (Kistler) Wollenslegel of Bellevue, Ohio. He graduated from Margaretta High School in 1969 where he met the love of his life and bride of 52 years, Lana (Karbler) Wollenslegel. After graduation he worked for Whirlpool in Clyde, Ohio and then in 1976 worked for Ford Motor Company and retired after 30 years as a supervisor.

He was an avid Cleveland “Indians” Fan and enjoyed listen to WOBL Radio Station where he often called in for special music requests. Allen’s passions were deer hunting, fishing, snowmobiling (especially with the Painter family) and camping with the Duelley family. Allen was the proud co-leader with his best friend Joe Myers of “Thirsty Monday”, where their friends would gather weekly to socialize. Allen was an Elyria Moose Lodge member for many years and a Wellington Eagles Member in more recent years. Allen faithfully attended the Special Olympic Ohio in Columbus with the Lacko family.

Allen will be deeply missed and is survived by his beautiful bride of 52 years, Lana (Karbler) Wollenslegel, son, Tad Wollenslegel (fiancée Vanessa), sister Sandy Weilnau, Mother-in-law Juanita (Ruff) Karbler, Sister-in-law Linda Grahl, Brother-in-law Larry Karbler, Sister-in-law Lois (Dan) Whyde, Brother-in-law Larry (Kathy) Bales, Brother-in-law Roger Bales. Many nephews, nieces, and loving friends.

He was proceeding in death by his son, Trent Allen Wollenslegel (2010), parents Howard & Peggy (Kistler) Wollenslegel, father-in-law William Lee Karbler (2011), brother-in-law Jeff Grahl, sister-in-law Barbara Karbler, and nephew Ted Keller.
